* why do you tattoo by appointment?
all tattooing is done by appointment here at my studio & a deposit is required to secure you a date & time in my schedule
while i can draw up something on the spot, right on your skin even, depending on what & where it is, an appointment allows me (& you) to be prepared...
when you arrive for your appointment i'll have a drawing ready to go (unless we're drawing it directly onto your skin- in which case i'll have readied any references i want for that)
when organizing your appointment, i will make sure there is time for any minor changes to the design if it's necessary...
major changes or complete redesign can result in rescheduling due to time constraints~

you'll want to be ready with the following:
-what do you want?
-where do you want it?
-do you want color or black & gray?
-what kind of size are you imagining or area do you want covered?
…please have all of these things thought out
but be open to suggestions from your artist (in this case, me) as i will have a sense of what works to flow with your natural shape, what colors will work on the area you've chosen, what size will do the design justice~
be as clear & thorough as possible, & don't try to fit too many ideas into one tattoo~
now, while i don't need the entire backstory (leave something for us to talk about) i will need the information stated above: what? where? how big? color or black & gray?
you can include references that you want me to see, something that inspired your idea or that you like the look of...
i do ask that you limit the amount of references you include to a reasonable level… try to hone in on what you want so i can interpret it correctly~

a non-refundable deposit or booking fee of $100. is required to book an appointment~ this fee will be subtracted from the price of your tattoo (or the tattoo's final session if multiple sessions are required to finish)
* why tho?
an appointment is a block of time that i will set aside for you~ it is a commitment between us, both of us agreeing to be there at the allotted time, ready for tattooing...
i will have your design prepared, my studio clean & my tools ready...
you will arrive on time, be rested, fed, sober & clean, wear comfortable clothes, have the time completely free of other obligations, & have the money to pay💰the balance due (if any) with you~
no deposit, no appointment, no exceptions
the deposit tells me you are serious & will show up... it says i won't be wasting my time by spending it drawing & preparing for your tattoo appointment...
should you need to reschedule, your deposit can be transferred to a new date with 48 hours or more notice
if you reschedule with less than 48 hours notice, a new deposit will be required to secure a new date
repeated rescheduling can result in refusal of service
your appointment is yours & is organized with you & your tattoo idea/design in mind~ you cannot transfer or gift your appointment or deposit/booking fee to someone else…

* how much is a tattoo?
as you might imagine, it depends...
my minimum price for a tattoo is $100.00
doing a tattoo, no matter how small, requires a number of materials that simply make it not worthwhile to do it for less~
this is non-negotiable
if the final price of your tattoo is $100. then your deposit will have covered it~
if the final price is more, you will pay the balance at the end of each session, & the deposit will be deducted from the final session...

the price of your tattoo will be determined by a variety of factors including:
size, placement, color & detail of the art, your ability to sit still during the procedure, time
when you are setting up your appointment, i can give you an idea of how much your tattoo will be
if you have a budget, just let me know when you are booking so i can work accordingly

* what if i don’t like the drawing when i show up for my appointment?
when we book your time, i will set aside what should be enough to not only do the tattoo, but to make minor changes should that be necessary
ideally, we communicate clearly enough during the consultation & you choose me because you trust my tattooing & like my style, so that anything beyond minor tweaks to say, make something fit, is unnecessary
but, if i have somehow completely missed the mark, & i have to redraw the entire thing, we may need to reschedule your appointment
in this case, your deposit would be honored for the new date & time
if you have simply changed your mind, updated your idea, been inspired by a different dream, or some such similar scenario, you will be required to leave a new deposit for a new appointment for your new idea

* can i bring someone with me when i get my tattoo?
you may bring a companion, but please let me know before your appointment

* can i get drunk to get my tattoo?
no, please show up to your tattoo appointment sober & please do not bring any alcohol or drugs with you
if you arrive to your appointment intoxicated, your appointment will be cancelled & you will need to leave a new deposit in order to make a new appointment
if you take any medications, including cannabis, please let me know when you are setting up your appointment
there is no smoking inside my studio
* 909 looks like a house, where is the entrance to the studio?
the studio is located on the south side of number 909, which is to the right if you are facing the house… you will see an origami-like sidewalk which leads thru a large concrete donut, a circle gateway with metal doors; the moon gate! pass thru the portal into the yard, our wee high desert xeriscape… if the gates are open, you are welcome to come on in~
